A carrier oil is an oil extracted from seeds, nuts or fruits (rich in lipids) of a plant. Carrier oils can be directly applied to the skin, hair and body or mixed with other ingredients.

When a product states that it is "100% Pure" this means the product contains only this active ingredient. We don't add any synthetic ingredients to any of these products. Each oil and raw material is supplied to us with a batch specific COA (Certificate of Analysis).

Comedogenic rating is a scale that shows how likely a specific ingredient can clog your pores. The scale ranges from a number in between 0 – 5, with 0 being non-comedogenic and 5 being the most severely comedogenic. Where applicable, we will provide the comedogenic rating for each product.

They sure are! For a product to be considered to be 'non- comedogenic' it need to have a comedogenic rating of 2. Anything 2 and below is considered non- comedogenic which means the likely hood of it clogging pores is extremely low.

Extended contact with air will decrease the life of your oil significantly, therefore you should ensure that the lid is firmly attached to minimise oxidisation. The oils should be stored in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight.

As our products are natural, they are very sensitive to environmental factors such as light, heat etc so they can change colour due to these factors as well as age. It doesn’t mean it is rancid or off, it just means it is getting older and exposed to things that will ultimately change it.

We use a PAO (Period After Opening) symbol on our products which identifies the useful lifetime of a cosmetic product after its package has been opened for the first time. It depicts an open cosmetics pot and is used together with a written number of months or years. For example if there is a symbol of an open jar with a '12M' text inside it, this indicates that you need to use the product within 12 months of opening.
